Each year the North Stamford Exchange Club honors outstanding students in the community who have exhibited excellence in academics and leadership.
Students are required to complete an application and write an essay with a specific topic that reflects the ideals of Exchange. A committee chooses a winner from each Stamford high school as the Student of the Month award winner. From those winners, the Student of the Year is chosen to represent Stamford in the state competition with hopes of advancing to the national competition.
